It's more like b-movie sexploitation in book form. I forgot that I had bought them about halfway through "The Man Who Never Missed" and thought I was reading someone's OCR'd version. It means only that their foundation is not known. This collection of essays by Pieter Botha is a tremendous gift to those interested in issues related to orality and literacy in the ancient world. Still, he can’t stop wondering if it will ever be more than intense pleasure for their bodies. Reality is laid bare in this raw-nerved, fast-paced, hard-hitting thriller.
